Regular Inspection Overview
In accordance with Article 54 (Functions of the Ethics Committee, etc.) Paragraph 1 of the Animal Protection Act and Article 20 (Methods of Guidance and Supervision of the Animal Experiment Ethics Committee) of its Enforcement Decree, as well as Article 7 (Establishment of the Laboratory Animal Operating Committee, etc.) Paragraph 4 of the Laboratory Animal Act, the committee conducts a fact-finding survey of animal experiment facilities twice a year (semiannual inspection).
Standard Checklist for Animal Experiment Inspection

Inspection of Laboratory Animal Facilities
- Concisely describe each facility, and emphasize specific facilities by describing them as positive or negative
- Matters that may pose a serious risk to the health or safety of animals are described as significant (S)
- Matters of minor severity are described as minor (M)
- Present a reasonable and specific plan and timetable to correct deficiencies
- If there are no deficiencies, mark as acceptable (A)
